OR
  • Project Help wiki > under "Video" > Outsourcing

Show Mrs. Magadance what you've been doing in the project since the last time she was with you!

Finish Storyboarding

Remember your video is a combination of your general topic (WWW, Web 2.0, PLEs, etc) with one of the "six senses" from A Whole New Mind
  • A: Story
  • B: Innovation, Invention, and Prediction
  • C: Social Entrepreneurship
  • D: Frist Person Narrative (Empathy)
  • E: Group Stories (Symphony)
  • F: How We Live (Play)
See the Video Mashups section of the Topics page (and follow the links there) for more information

Present your video idea to your classmates

Give a 2-minute (or less) "pitch" explaining your vision for your video
  • Tell your classmates what your technology topic is and which of the "six senses" you're using
  • Use the document camera to show your storyboard as a visual aid
  • If you have a specific question or something you especially want feedback on, say so :)

Classmates give supportive feedback on each video

  • I like . . .
  • I notice . . .
  • I wonder . . .
  • What if . . .

Make Your Outsourced Clip Request
  • Go to 10-3A wiki > under "Multimedia Artifact" > Outsourced Video Request
  • Find your name under the ISA section
  • Look at an example of a perfect outsourcing request
  • Fill in the template with the details of your request
    • Link your name to your FCP Ning profile
    • List your team (1A, 2B, 3C, etc)
    • Describe your request - be very, very specific and be sure your request is "do-able"
    • Record the date
    • Leave the last three spaces blank - these will be filled in by the student who responds to your request
  • Remember, the simpler your request, the more likely it will get done!
  • Be sure to link to your Ning profile so the person fulfilling your request can message you

Respond to outsourced video requests together as a whole class to learn the process

Here's the Process

1. Download the video file from the Flip camera to your server space
2. Upload the video file to the Ning - find the video page under "Multimedia"
3. Add appropriate title, description, and tags to the video you just uploaded
4. Tags should include ISA, FCP10-3, and the standard tag for the topic of the video clip
5. Go to the Outsourced Requests page on the wiki
6. Create a hyperlink to the video you just uploaded on the Ning
7. Add the date
You're done. Congratulations on being a good digital (global) citizen by helping another student with his/her project!
